The train will run between City and Landhi via Drigh Road and Malir City

Pakistan Railways on Wednesday launched a local train service for Karachi. President Arif Alvi inaugurated the service which would begin for the general public from tomorrow (Nov 1).
This train will start from City Station and end up at Landhi Station. Initially, two trains would be running on the route at 7 am and 5 and 5:45 pm. Drigh Road and Malir City would be two major stops on the route. The fare would be between Rs25 to Rs80 per person.
President Alvi congratulated Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed saying the people of Karachi had faced with commuting issues for long.
Sheikh Rasheed said that railways and people associated with it are crucially important to the countryís economy. Adding the service had been inaugurated upon the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In Karachi, local train service was active in the past and more than two dozen trains with three different routes used to operate across in the city.
